Is Rose Hip Oil Worth The Hype?

The Claim

Grace With Love Blog recently tested out the Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil from ULTRAPURE Laboratories in collaboration with The Irish Blogger Agency. Rose Hip Oil seems to be having a moment right now, however is the hype justified? Firstly, to explain, rose hip is a cold pressed oil full of protective fatty acids and antioxidants that are renowned for cell regeneration. It can be used on dry and sensitive skin, wrinkles, scars, acne and sun damage. The oil claims "to help the overall appearance of skin and fine lines, providing intensive care to even the most demanding skin." This sounds very promising and left me full of expectation as the ten day trial began.

The Trial

The ten day trial of this product included twice a day application, once in the morning and once in the evening. This consisted of applying two to three drops of the oil to my face after cleansing and rubbing into the skin in circular motions. Having oily skin and scarring after years of teenage acne (you can read "My Skin Journey" here) means it is always near the top of my beauty wishlist to find a product to help improve my skin.

The Result

You will find a "before and after" of my skin following my ten day trial using this Rosehip Oil below.  Please note that the pictures below are make-up and filter free to show real and accurate results. There is a slight improvement in the overall appearance of my skin and it has a healthier glow in my opinion. To be 100% honest this product did not drastically change my skin in the space of ten days, however some slight changes are evident. It is my intention to carry on using this rosehip oil and testing it for a longer period of time as the massaging feel and lovely scent is enough to keep you coming back for more.
